Default Should Cote get an immediate rematch?
He should be coming back in late summer i think But should he have a fight against another mw before his rematch or get one immediately. Personally i think okami should get one in aug/sept and then the winner of hendo/bisping later in 09. what do you think...

I didn't think Cote was anywhere near deserving of a title shot at Anderson and still don't consider him a top 15 MW in the world. IMO, it would just be a waste of an Anderson Silva PPV performance.

I think it would take Cote a few good fights for a shot at Silva again. I wouldn't mind seeing Cote/Bisping or even Cote/Okami fight. Both can boost him into title shot contention.

I'm not sure what I think SHOULD happen. I'm fairly confident what WILL happen is that he will have to work his way back up from the bottom, and he won't make it back to another title shot. He'll still do well in the UFC, but he'll consistently hover around breaking the top 10.

I think that they'll probably let him fight either someone like okami or Maia and if he wins then he will get a title shot for the simple fact that he wasn't finished in that fight. They could could also hype up the fight by saying that he was the only fighter in the ufc to take him past the second round and he didn't really absorb any damage and that he would have put it on silva if his knee didn't blow out...I think they can put a lot of hype around this fight...

except for Maia, I dont think anyone in the UFC middle weight roster is a threat to Silva in any way so it really doesn't matter who he pounds on

Regardless of whether he is a top contender or not, the UFC gave him the title shot and with it ending the way it did, I say "yes." He should get an immediate title shot just because of the way it went down in the first fight.
