"After a second round loss for his debut at middleweight at UFC 88, the UFC has released Lambert from his contract, saying that he "needed to get more wins".[1] His future as of now is uncertain.

He is set to face Vladimir Matyushenko at Call to Arms 1 on May 16, 2009 at Citizen Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California."

Always love watching Lambert fight, I feel like he was kinda in over his head against JMAC for his first fight at 185. Kinda wish they'd have kept him for one or two more fights to see if the cut would've helped, maybe Leban, Grove or Herman, could've been good fights.

Wish him the best, but if this is true, its biting off a lot.
