Most just want ko's and blood. They dont get or appreciate the chess match that happens on the ground or the feet.

THEM SELF'S TO THE TECHNICAL SIDE OF THE SPORT . | Not as long as people type in all caps and don't learn to spell (Don't boo me for the comment; I'm only saying.....)
People watch different sports for different things. Baseball fans boo a pitching duel. Basketball fans boo a game of low post basketball with strong defense. Football fans boo games that end in 9-6 scores etc.
You see the point?
It's inevitable. MMA has the potential of showing the greatest of the great in highlight reel KO's. It also has the potential of being terribly boring if you don't appreciate ground control.
So, in conclusion, yes, no, and lots of people already are educated.......
I guess I've said nothing!!???!!???

how ever most don't seem to understand the ground game or the clinch .
Yes I can't spell. My bad on the cap's
was only like 6:30 AM had no coffee yet .

this topic is moot, there are plenty of us that are educated. You'll always have "the casual fan." And if you're referring to Geman fans, I thought they were just fine.
Why do people who AREN'T in the octogon / ring always the ones that are pissed off that people boo. So people booed because they didn't want to see Caol Uno hump Spencer Fishers leg for 10 minutes trying not to get his face punched off. They paid for their ticket, and you what?... watched it on the internet i'm sure or at a sports bar for free. When you pay for something and you dislike an aspect of it I think you're more than welcome to boo your fuckin ass off.

i feel like this has a lot to do with the infancy of the sport. every other major sport has been around for decades and longer, but MMA has been in the mainstream for about 5 years. you think about the kids that grow up watching football with their dads, or playing baseball in gym class, so they're exposed to these sports their whole lives and it'd be difficult not to understand them, but unless you're a really avid fan and have religiously watched MMA for years or you yourself train, its not as easy to understand the sport and that's going to take some time. its going to take, i think, another 10+ years before people stop booing ground transitions and what not, and even then there will be people that still think its boring. after all, most nascar fans will tell you they only watch b/c of the chance that a car will explode.
