| IMAGINE.....UFC without Joe Rogan!!!
In a recent interview with Joe Rogan he had stated that his comedy was more important to him then his color commentator job with the UFC. Joe said this because he could always be a fan of MMA with or without his color job.
I think Rogan has the best job in the world, but I wouldnt be suprised if he was underpaid by Zuffa and tight lipped about it. Unlike his commentating partner Mike Goldberg (with his famous lines, 'Its all over!' or 'Its time for the Tale of the Tape'), the UFC needs Joe Rogan more then Joe Rogan needs the UFC! I cant picture anyone filling those shoes as the voice of the UFC, with his excitement and knowledge of the sport.
I know there are a few people that dont like Joe Rogan for whatever reason, but could you see anyone replacing him? Ken-Flo, Randy Couture, Bas Rutten...............they are brutal in comparison. Maybe Rashad Evans when he doesnt fight, but I doubt it.

Even though he still fights, I'd love to see Frank Mir in that spot some day.
Did you see the Joe Rogan stand up comedy special after the Ultimate Fighter finale this past Saturday night? It's the first time I've ever heard Rogan do standup......he was freakin hilarious!

Why don't you just send a private message to a moderator? They'll have whatever answers you are looking for.

"The Joe Rogan Comedy Special" on Spike TV scores solid ratings, replays in the works
by MMAjunkie.com Staff on Jun 24, 2009 at 12:05 pm ET
Spike TV's first-ever stand-up comedy event, "The Joe Rogan Comedy Special," aired this past Saturday with solid ratings, especially in key demographics with younger male viewers, the cable station recently announced.
Overall, the special, which aired June 20 at midnight ET/PT (following The Ultimate Fighter 9 Finale), scored 1.1 million viewers.
It was the No. 1 rated program on cable among men ages 18 to 34 and men 18-49 in its late-night timeslot.
In fact, according to an update released today by Spike TV, "The Joe Rogan Comedy Special" easily dominated its the average ratings in its timeslot among men 18-49 (150 percent more viewers), men 18-34 (180 percent) and men 25-34 (327 percent).
"With the ratings success, we are going to re-air (the special)," Spike TV spokesman David Schwarz today told MMAjunkie.com ( UFC blog for UFC news, UFC rumors, fighter interviews and event previews/recaps | MMAjunkie.com).
Dates and times for the replays will be announced soon.
Rogan, the UFC's longtime color commentator for pay-per-view and Spike TV broadcasts, recorded the show at The Southern Theatre in Columbus, Ohio, during UFC 96 festivities in March. Topics covered by Rogan included marijuana, his baby daughter, politics, Dr. Phil and the anti-evolution debate.
The special was met with predominantly positive reviews.
Rogan's first hour special, "Joe Rogan Live," premiered on Showtime in 2007 and is available on DVD. He released two critically acclaimed CDs, "Shiny Happy Jihad" (2007, Comedy Central Records) and "I'm Gonna Be Dead Some Day" (2000, Warner Bros. Records). Yeah I did see his comedy show and found it very entertaining, thats why I thought that the UFC should be concerned. I know anyone is replaceable but Joe has some big shoes to fill. I forgot about Mir, good call.............so maybe Mir or Evans would be decent but still not close to Rogan in my eyes.

Mir and Florian are par for the course, but they don't have the PERSONALITY that Rogan has and I don't know if I could tolerate them once a month. Couture is thoughtful, but he can be a little bland. And I love Bas, but I don't know if he's really suitable for the mainstream UFC market.
The only person who I believe could replace Rogan and fulfill the same role is Forrest Griffin, for he is both educated and well spoken, yet hilarous and thoughtful. Aside from him, Rogan's got a job for life.
