with the addition of Gomi in Affliction, I think this card just surpassed UFC 100 IMO.

Fedor vs Barnett over Lesnar vs Mir

Mousasi vs Babalu over St Pierre vs Alves

Belfort vs Santiago over Bisping vs Henderson

Gomi vs Oliveria push Fitch vs Thiago

I'm mainly excited to see Akiyama's debut at UFC 100.

Belfort/Santiago and Bisping/Henderson is a toss up.. really wanna see Hendo win this one
and Gomi/Oliveria and Fitch/Thiago is a toss up as well

so i'm sticking with UFC with this one, plus Akiyama.

Fedor, Mousasi and Gomi are some of my real favorites, that's why I perfer the Affliction card. But I am definitely pumped for Sexyama, I've became a fan.

Thats possibly the most mental thing I've ever heard on here.

GSP vs Alves is possibly the biggest fight the WW division has ever seen. Mousasi vs Babalu is most definately not the biggest fight the LHW division has ever seen. They don't compare.

I think putting this whole fight vs fight thing dumbs it down to pretty low levels.

The UFC 100 card as a whole is pretty epic. The Affliction card is also shaping up nicely but to be honest the only fight I would really want and pay to see on that is Fedor / Barnett. If you took Fedor off that card it would be massively ordinary. UFC those top 3 have classics written all over them.

I agree, why choose. Any MMA fan in their right mind will watch both, in some fashion or another. If you're strictly asking which is better, well the UFC card from top to bottom has to be stronger, but the main card of both is very solid.

I agree, taking Mousasi-Babalu over GSP-Alves makes no sense. GSP is on the verge of cleaning out the entire WW division - a weight class long held by MMA fans to be one of the deepest in the sport - and he is still only 28 years old and not in his prime yet. Alves will be arguably his biggest challenge ever, and if Georges gets past him there aren't any challengers in the near future that can truly push him hard.

It's one of the most important MMA fights of this generation. Mousasi-Babalu is big, but Alves-GSP is literally borderline generation-defining.

Affliction 3 is more stacked and Intriguing than UFC 100, who would want to watch ranked 3 and 4 HW fighters in Lesnar vs Mir fighting than 1 and 2 Ranked HW fighter in Fedor vs Barnett Fighting? plus knowing it will be backed up by HDnet,Trump,GoldenBoy and M-1, I think Affliction takes this one, there will bea PrideFC Atmosphere written all over it moreso that Gomi is on board

They are both great cards and I am veryy happy these other organizations exist. Without them there would be nowhere for guys to go who flame out of the ufc and there would be nowhere for guys to prove themselves to get a shot in the ufc. Let's be honest though ufc 100 is the biggest thing going right now. To say the Bablou fight is bigger than GSP/Alves is ridiculous. This is a perfect example of how soon we forget how a fighter performs in the ufc and then overhype them when they beat up on inferior competition outside of the ufc.

Yeah I don't see the need in choosing but when comparing cards I gotta go with UFC 100, there's no substitute for any of those fights on the main card and Affliction doesn't come close IMO.
