Default What if UFC had a 195 pound division?

There are more and more posts about a 195 division, as many think with the current fighters in the Middleweight and LHW division the weight gap is too great and a 195 weight class could solve things. We've already seen Franklin and Wandy fight at 195, and it's being discussed that Franklin will fight at 195 again vs Belfort. So my question is, IF the UFC made a 195 division, what would the 185, 195, and 205 divisions looks like? Who would stay at 185, move to 195, and stay at 205?

I feel like A. Silva and Hendo would fight in all three, while maybe Wand and Franklin would stay at 195. Any thoughts?

I would not like a 195 division the reasons for that is i like the way it is now and when you start getting to many divisions so close together fighters can start to duck fights ala pro boxing it would also start to dilute talent pools in the 185 and 205 divisons also what companys have enough fighters to even pull off adding that division the ufc is the only one i could really think of. If the ufc did do this i could see some fighters that maybe are a little small for lhw going down to it without having to make such a dramatic weight cut that 185 would be for them i just can't see doing it for a handfull of fighters imo

Just putting in a 195 div wouldn't make sense with the current setup.
The difference from:
LW - WW 15 pounds
WW - MW 15 pounds
MW - Super Middle Weight 10 pounds
SMW - LHW 10 pounds
It would not make sense to have the gap between the small fighter bigger than the bigger fighters.

I agree that the 20 pounds gap is too big. Lots of fighters are stuck between facing a size disadvantage at 205 or, due to a big cut, a conditioning disadvantage at 185. Unfortunately, in order for it 195 division to works you would have to restructured all the divisions. For example
a 210, 195, 180, 165, 155, 145. Even though I would prefer that setup in the long run it, would fuck everything up in the short run.
