size makes a different much less in striking than it does in grappling. this is a perfect example of that.

If you guys take the time to read what he says, he's not acting that cocky. He talks about hos it would be an honor to fight Silva, how he's not the best BJJ guy...just because he's confident that he could beat someone doesn't mean he's an ass.

The problem I think a lot of people have with Mir is that the tone he uses when he speaks is very, shall we say, condescending. Never the less, I could see Mir/Silva as very competitive, but ultimately I think Silva is simply too fast for Franky.

Anhyone else think that Anderson Silva says he wants challenges but the guys that he fights that are "challenges" or wants to fight are tailor made for him

Sandman - no comment
Griffen - not super fast and will stand and trade
Mir - much slower standing than Anderson Silva and not great at taking people down
