If past..then of course Pride.
It was really awesome: the fighters, the shows, the entrances, the crazy Woman, the crowd, the footages before the fights, even the fights between freaks sometimes were entertaining.
Present: Dream, because it reminds Pride.
I like UFC when there are good cards, but I am not a big fan of the UFC, they have good fighters but they never do a show like Pride, they make stupid lines like "This fight is presented by Bud Light...the difference is drink Ability"..In Pride you just heard "Iiiiin theeee Reeeed Corner, frrrrrrrrrrrrrrrom Crrrrrrrrrroatia....Mirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrrrrrrkoooooooooooooo Crrrrrrrro COOOOOOOOPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP"
Also Pride commentators (Rutten and the other one) were much more entertaining and funny than Rogan and Goldberg.

It's funny all the points that you mention - Heres what I wrote up while posting the question.
quote by me!
"I personally like(d) Pride the most. The cinematography they would do before their fights, the camera angles (I heart Ref Cam), the introductions of the fighters...It all made their productions seem 'bigger' and more grand than most of the ones out today. It also made the fighters more like stars and godlike.
I also liked that it had (to me) more emotion in it. It was called Pride for a reason, and I feel that fighters and fans alike, felt that. It was more of a triumph for themselves than sponsors and cash. The way a sport should be.
Plus they had Lenne Hardt - who I want to do my voicemail greeting
Buffer just doesn't cut it for me - and there are too many ads. Maybe there were in Pride too, but at least I couldn't understand them if they were
oh and no Goldie..."
seem to be pretty similar in thinking!

pride hands down was the best show to watch,if you have not seen a pride event please don't post in this thread until you do so.
UFC was not even in the same league as pride when it came to entertainmeant.that crazy lady doig the intro's was awsome, bas and murilo (sp?)way better then goldie and rogan
i also loved how they did intro's before the event got started and hearing the crowed go nuts for poeple like wandy, saku, crocop, fedor, rampage.
now that i think of it the talent they had was also way better then the ufc.
pride...........the best mma org of all time and the ufc has along way to go before i change my mind on that one.
fuck i really miss pride

Another thing is that at least IMO the Pride theme was much better than the UFCs theme.

I'm pretty much is agreement with everyone, Pride was my favorite promotion in the past, but currently, there is no one who can touch UFC.
The biggest component that made Pride so amazing to me was their ability to bring an atmosphere. Pride I felt was more about the sheer respect vs. UFC's sheer excitement. I find before a UFC I often times am cheering or talking about how "bad ass" this is or that is with my friends. Before a Pride fight, I often would sit in quite anticipation with more of a "shiver down the spine" feeling. At the end of the day, I preferred the quite anticipation over the roaring excitement. (a large part of this has to do with the differences between American and Japanese live audiences)

I don't even like watching UFC personally. It does nothing for me.
I was amazed and in awe with Pride shows, but quite frankly, I don't think the UFC, PPV and fight nights, are any more appealing than their Video game. Which is pretty boring too.
It's just the aesthetics... they're so blah. No good camera angles (though I imagine it's hard with having a fence around the fighters. The atmosphere is changing with more and more casual fans going (booing with ground game). No good entrances. Buffer mispronounces too many names for me to even listen to anymore. Goldie.. is Goldie.
It's frustrating.
Don't get me wrong - I'm pumped when events are on, but only for the fights and the fighters, nothing to do with the production.
I can only think that their rating would fare even better if it could get more emotion in it.
