| Rumor: Lesnar submits Gonzaga in exhibition grappling match Quote:
Image
An astonishing exhibition win for UFC Heavyweight Champion, Brock Lesnar as he submitted Brazillian Jiu Jitsu Champion Gabriel “Napao” Gonzaga in a grappling match after he and training partner Chris Tuchscherer were invited to to Ludlow, Massachusetts to attend a seminar.
The heavyweight champion immediately took down Gonzaga, landing in his half guard then passed to side control after Gonzaga attempted to replace his guard. Lesnar then quickly transitioned to north-south holding on to Gonzaga’s right wrist and as Gonzaga tried to bump up onto his side, Lesnar pulled the arm into a kimura and submitted the Jiu Jitsu ace in just under 50 seconds.
Napao, surprised at the raw speed of Brock Lesnar, said, “I’d very much look forward to a future bout with Lesnar in the octagon”. That will have to wait though, as Brock Lesnar defends his belt against the man who knocked out Gabriel Gonzaga, Shane Carwin on November 21st at UFC 106.
Gonzaga also commented on his fight with Shane Carwin; he said one of the major mistakes in that fight was him clinching and taking Carwin down. Gonzaga feels he could have won, had he not clinched with Carwin after he landed the first few solid shots.
Gonzaga recently defeated Chris Tuchsherer in controversial fashion at UFC 102 and is hungry to win again in the octagon to make his way back as a heavyweight contender
| saw a link from 5thround.com with the story, but couldn't find the original or any further verification. if this turns out to be true, it is mildly amusing, and pretty believable i think. the class of arm/shoulder locks are tailor made for freakishly strong wrestlers.

If this is true it is amazing and shows how far along Brock has come along with his grappling/jiu-jitsu skills.

I believe it. Lesnar is such a fast evolving mixed martial artist.
Lets just hope Shane & then maybe Big Nog can put a couple loses on his record. Take him down a peg or two.

The north-south position I can believe, but Lesnar putting Gonzaga in a kimura and tapping? I would need to see a video to believe it.

I am not contesting Brock could do it, I don't believe Gonzaga would allow it.

| lol I'm getting a mental image of Gonzaga going "No, no stop please, I just cannott allow this."
Generally if you've got your arm in a bad place and a behemoth like human being on top of you in North South there's not a lot of decision making left for you to do.
It could well be another bullshite rumour started up for shits and giggles but I won't say for now; I wouldn't say that this was something impossible to happen.
