Default Brock being sick was a UFC PR stunt?
  • Fedor wins with a devastating KO
  • Spotlight was all on him and Strikeforce
  • Brock pulls out of HW Belt match
  • Brock was seen out at a football game in Minnesota while we was supposed to be sick.
  • Spotlight changes to Brock being really sick.
  • Dana says he may never fight again.
  • 1 week later Brock's camp says he will fight again....

Has anyone actually seen a medical report?

Or is this quite possibly all a RUSE on part of the UFC to steal Strikeforce/M-1 Fedors spotlight.

I was wondering the same thing but IMO Brock's illness is legit. Brock has way too much pride to fake something like this. You can call him stupid, but I doubt he would go along with something like this at the UFC's request.

I'll take his word that he had surgery which should tell you that something's wrong with him. He may turn out to be fine in the end, but undiagnosed illnesses can be very scary so he has my sympathy

If you're not, then you have to weigh up the benefit of this alleged 'ruse' versus the loss to the UFC of having one of their biggest drawcards not fighting on one of the most anticipated cards this year.

Surely, if Lesnar is fit and healty as you suspect, the UFC could have come up with some sort of publicity stunt that didn't involve him having to vacate the title and instituting an interim one in its place?

Personally, I would have gone for: 'UFC Heavyweight champ Brock Lesnar attacked by Sasquatch in Minnesota backwoods! Lesnar: "That hairy bastard couldn't handle my ground'n'pound!"' more info to follow, etc, etc, etc...

Sorry Malice, for me, the cost-benefit analysis doesn't add up

Exactly... Really wouldn't make any sense to do this... To take the spotlight away from Fedor? lol wow... I'm pretty confident all the UFC has to do is actually hold an event to take the spotlight off of m-1 for most casual fans who unfortunately make up the majority of mma fan base.
