Last night I was flipping through an old Tapout mag. And saw the article on the ten best camps in th US. It got me thinking what is the best MMA camp worldwide?

Theres a lot of good one but what do you think is the best?

ATT
Blackhouse
Jackson gym
Xtreme Couture
Brazilian top team
Chute box
Team Quest
Red devil
Gracie gym


I think if you go off of Current fighter ranking Blackhouse has to be at the top with ATT and Jacksons. These three camps can cover most of the pound for pound rankings (except Fedor) and a ton of former or current champions. These three would cover GSP, Both Nogs A silva, Machdia, Evans, Jardine, T Alves, Nate the Great (ithink) and more

Any thoughts?

The number one camp is probably blackhouse awesome team to train with

Number two would be the Jackson camp. They're also notorious for coming up with great strategies for fights

If I had to choose it would probably be one of these two over the rest....

Kinda weird. cause Blackhouse is not only Nog's gym in Florida but also in Brazil. And if you say GSP is under Greg Jackson's gym which I think is in New Mexico, then why hasn't GSP been there for quite some time, and he trains out of TriStar Gym in Montreal...currently with that ex USSR sniper guy Zihabi.

I'm not sure how much a camp really matters, might be more up to the gym and your team.

Team Nog looks sweet (not Blackhouse) but I don't see one guy who isn't Brazilian and I don't know Portuguese

For some of them it shows their facilities. Like Nova União has 5 different facilities, but they also have gyms they do promo's at where they send trainers around the world to train at different facilities.

Like it says Sam Stout fights for Xtreme Couture, but he actually has his own gym Adrenaline Mix Martial in London Ontario with Chris Horodecki and Mark Homenick. On wikipedia it says they are all Xtreme Couture, on Sherdog it says they are Team Thompkins.

One gym/crew I wouldn't want to be with is HammerHouse, who have never had a gym. They once ruled UFC and Vale Tudo (for nearly a year) but they were really just a group of fighters who trained together whenever and wherever they can.

i think its just how the fighter meshes with the team we have seen guys move to a new camp and do worse and vice versa

I personally liked Xtreme Couture, when i was there it was always fun watching so much talent under one roof going at it and they really had the team thing going on but theyd still fight each other if needed. Team Tompkins was also based outta there but now theyre at the Tapout gym holding it down, which is where I'm also at now, and I think this gym is gonna be one of the up and coming best places to hold camp.
