In the last couple of days there are many talks in other forums that Minowaman/Sokoudjou was a work because there were some weird things (principally the several minutes without any contact, the lack of agressiveness by Soko, the early stoppage, the fact that Minowaman KOd an apparently much better striker etc), for me it was not a work, but anyway that is something that we will never know.

Apparently Japan had fixed many matches, but anyone knows which matches were fixed? Becaue apart of Saku/Kimo I have never heard of another confirmed fixed fight.
There is a video of Giant Silva with a big stick after a fight trying to attack a Japanese fighter, that of course was a work, but the fight was also a work?

I don't think The Predator/Fishman fight was fixed, I just think they were both so hesitant cause neither one of them wanted to get caught and lose the tourny. Which turns out to be exactly what happened.

i havent heard about Minowaman/Sokoudjou being a work, and i hate for it to be true. I think its unlikely but i guess still possible. I think fixing mma judging is more likely than an all out work but maybe im being naive.

The only fight ive heard that was a work was kimo/bam bam bigelow. In an interview bam bam said he was paid to lose and make kimo look good. but watching the fight it looks plenty real so who knows, maybe bam bam is just making excuses after such a one sided loss.

another fight that originally seemed fishy to me was Lyoto Machida's first fight. It took place on a New Japan Wrestling Card where it was quite clear the he was the promoter's(Inoki) new golden boy and destined to be the next big thing. Lyoto came out with a jungle gimmick and i thought at the time it was a fix because of how corny he looked. but like the bam bam fight, it looks real and if it was fixed the could have probably come up with a more exciting finish. plus he's gone on to much better things a never did any pro wrestling.

Bigelow/Kimo was a work and some of the early Pancrase were works(according to both Shamrocks).

I don't think Soko'd risk his potential career stateside by throwing a fight, but I wouldn't put it past the Japanese promoters. If they were to have fixed a fight on NYE though, I'm pretty sure they'd have made Ishii look like a future legend rather than a somewhat gatekeeper in the Minowa, who I see as something as Sakuraba-Lite.....
