Hardy and St. Pierre, scheduled to meet at UFC 111 in March for the Ultimate Fighting Championship's 170-pound title, will be the subjects of a weekly three-part UFC Primetime series on Spike TV, the network announced today. Cameras will follow the fighters as they prepare for their bout.
HBO's 24/7 franchise pioneered the use of behind-the-scenes specials to promote its high-profile boxing matches. UFC in recent years has used half-hour Countdown shows to showcase the main eventers for its pay-per-view bouts, and had its first Primetime series last year on Spike ahead of St. Pierre's fight with BJ Penn at UFC 94.
