|  UFC Middleweight 16 man tournament
With it looking like Sonnen is getting an immediate rematch, does the UFC middleweight division need a 16 man elimination tournament to re-establish the one-sided division. Rather than repeatedly trying to find Andersons next opponent a tournament would bring some sort of order & heirarchy to the seemingly lost division. A 16 man tournament with the winner facing the winner of Sonnen vs Silva would keep the division ticking over til we get to Sonnen/Silva 2.
Marquardt, Vitor, Maia, Akiyama, Cote, Belcher, Bisping, Kang, Miller, Leben, Harris, Herman, Grove...some names we could throw in a hat ???
Thoughts anybody ??

I think it's a good idea, but unnecessary. I think that it's just the nature of the sport from a division to be one-sided. The most logical thing is to just keep on testing Silva with different opponents. A tournament would upset the rankings somewhat as well.

And Herman and Kang and Grove are no where close to a titleshot, tourney, or anything for that matter. 
Grove got a beat down  style from Munoz
PLus as Dan said it is not needed at all

But then what will Joe Silva do to feed his kids?
Dana White doesn't like the idea of tournaments and it will likely never happen in the UFC again.

Best case scenario is that Strikefarce does a 4 man, one night MW tourney like Coker's been yammering about for some sort of alternate MW title, who will then go ahead and fight Jacare later one. I'm not joking, I heard Coker himself say it on Ariel Helwani's show.
