|  Who (forum members) would Box/kickbox Aoki
In all the fights I've seen him in, I had never seen good stand up from this guy. Now he's one of my favorite submission artists, but stand up wise? I wouldn't be scared fighting this guy in a boxing or kickboxing match. Now I am naturally bigger than him, granted....but I wouldn't fight Jose Aldo in any kind of match, and he weighs less than Aoki. But how about you? Would you feel comfortable in a stand up fight against Aoki?

Id kick the shit out of Aoki, its known by some that I do actually train MMA. But im 6'8, Id literally kick the shit out of him. But I would watch for the flying heek hook, not like he could trip me, but I would cautious.

To be honest I'm sure the guy trains his stand up consistently more than I do and having any kind of professional experience should mean he'd beat amateurs in stand up competitions.
I have some experience myself in that I competed in the Under 21 UK National Kung Fu Championships and placed top 10 but I wouldn't kid myself for a moment to think that I could compete with some1 the likes of Aoki.
Although he may not use his stand up or look great with it, that doesn't say it's not there. He just choses to use his sharpest tools and not give other, possibly superior strikers the chance to use theirs.

Jeez you guys take things waaaaay to seriously. Just a fun observation on how Aoki seems to disdain stand up. Not to say that his stand up isn't better than most who don't even train in it, but it seems like he's content to leave that on open question as long as he can get the fight to the ground....if not well....see the Gilbert Melendez fight. But honestly? you mean some you guys would be afraid to spar stand up against Aoki?

Also do you mean does anyone thinkthey could beat him, or would we go for it?

Plus I just don't believe that he believes he could actually kick someone's ass in a stand up fight. Maybe he'd beat me like a pimp beats a hooker who's just bad at math....but I really believe that this guys stand up isn't that dangerous.....
