Fedor: I like fighting in both countries. The cultures are completely different, the fans are completely different but its very interesting to fight both in Japan and USA.

I dont think it's Fedor or the UFC that will have suffered. Both have very succesful careers / organisations.
It's the fans that will miss out on some of the fights they want to see.
I'm still of the opinion that co-promotion is a mental idea. No one fighters is worth sacrificing essentially the control of your event / company.
Well maybe Chuck Norris vs Superman.
But Fedor / M1 are entitled to their opinion also.

Actually I think Fedor would have been huge for the UFC. A cold eyed terminator who could be a dominate champion for years to come, humble and soft spoken, never really a boring fight....and the potential to sharping the next generation of heavyweights and raise the standards in terms of skill. Fedor not landing in the UFC is kind of bittersweet for me, I admire the fact that he's a man first and a fighter second. But I would love for him to totally ignore Dana and the UFC after his victories while giving all credit to M-1. Hard to hype a champion who doesn't even acknowledge his title or company. You say somethin' Scott Coker?
