Shortly after this was posted, forum member and UFC employee saucylv33 wrote back, "Dana will pay for the remaining funds needed for the surgery."
She assured later that White's offer was "legit," and Tiger Muay Thai associate/fighter Ray Elbe later posted: "Just received confirmation that Dana White is the reason for the season. Monday morning he will be having his assistant contact Grainne Farrell of Lotus Medical to make arrangements for the payment of the Liver transplant operation. Amazing. DFW you have no idea how many people's prayers you answered with this random act of generosity."
I am a frequent critic of Dana White and a frequent recipient of criticism from the UG but this is both at their best and a credit to the sport and humanity in general.
| This isn't the first time Dana has paid for things of this nature. Hate him all you want but he is very generous when it comes to the fans and other people. Watch his vblog for UFC 124 where he gives like 20 people free tickets. Of course that example is on other playing field but goes to show. Before you start cussing him out, HOW MANY LIVES HAVE YOU SAVED?

sad part is that there are loads of "celebreties" who have milions and milions and they couldn't spend that money for 200 years , and they never thought about giving money... When you sing or act you forget how hard is to get money by hard way , I respect Dana for this , he earned this money by hard way and he is still giving his money away ,because he know how hard is in real world...

i hate dana white he is such a tool, he is so bad for the sport, he is so classless.
bla bla bla bla bla.
who do i sound like? yeah half the people in this forum who hate on him.
Dana White alone saved the sport of MMA and not only is he a pioneer of MMA but should/will be a Hall of Famer in the UFC.

Eaaaaaaaasy now. Don't get too carried away. Good on him though for helping out the little girl. Maybe the good karma will translate to an injury-free 2011 for the fighters.

It was his idea to invest along with the Zuffas in the UFC. When there were politicians running campaigns to ban 'human cockfighting' who was in front of the line taking all the crap? Dana lead the UFC to a reform and re-branded its self to appeal to a larger audience.
I'll even go as far to say that Dana White turned MMA into a sport rather than let it be an unfair barbaric no holds barred street fight.
Art Davie could have NEVER done what Dana White has accomplished.
