I recently found myself in a discussion board on facebook based on MMA. When I read through the page and read what people were saying, I WAS FUCKING OUTRAGED AND UTTERLY PISSED THE FUCK OFF. Just appalled.

It made me realize how much this site has taught me in terms of respect and true knowledge of MMA. I am only so thankful that I stumbled upon this site over a year ago. I mean, these people were disgusting. Out-fucking-rageous with the things they would say and just absolutely disrespectful and ignorant in the greatest.

So...I had fun ripping people new assholes and making them look like the utter fucking fools they are who possess no MMA sense, knowledge, or respect for the main matter. All I was thinking was, DAMN, I WISH I had some of my pals from MMANEWS to come and tag team these dipshits with me...but it was kind of fun doing it myself and looking smart. Almost like finding a gem in a leaky cave. It was so bad, that when I first came across it and read the crap, I was shocked and instinctually thought "omfg, rivethead is going to fuck these people."

Ciouldn't help but think about that if rivethead were to lay his eyes on the garbage I came across in all of these people who claimed to be such big MMA fans and whatnot, he would have gone and bought two .44 magnums and went on a killing spree.

that happens to me all the time i dont really knwo why it makes me so angry maybe because its the same straight up ignorance people can have about something and still think they know everything. can pretty much apply to every topic in the world haha.

i try to just stay away from all the facebook.sherdog/youtube/twitter/UG crap now hahaha

but yea this is an awesome site i dont post anywehre else. i dont know why maybe its the mods/rep system but everyone here knows their shit pretty much and all discussions are pretty legit(except the religon forum haha)

This is the only site I post at too, and I enjoy it more in my second incarnation... My first one being essentially banned by a power-tripping admin whom I simply could not stand.

I'm glad he, and to an extent they, are gone, because there's no place that I consider as good an alternative for MMA forums... and I've seen almost all of 'em.

the only other site ive ever come across with knowledgeable posters is mmaspot. i dont post there much but some of those guys know there shit too. that site along with this one are the 2 best.

the only downside to this site is in about 8 to 9 hours it will be down for about half a day to a day during the ppv and just after the ppv

mmaspot and UG are the only other places I lurk, but I just go to the UG for lulz.

This site used to hold up pretty well during heavy traffic. I also wish they hadn't changed the layout however long ago that was.

This is the best site by far.

I lurk around the spot. They have some really quality posters, however the level of pretentious (sp?) people there is just too much to stand sometimes.

I enjoy reading and talking about MMA without being talked down to.

^^^same. i read more than i post too. started watching mma in 2002 when i used to get free pay per views. i didn't exactly know what mma was at 12 years old, but i watched ufc heavily back then. to be honest, i probably learned a lot from the first season of the ultimate fighter. i didn't really get into the internet mma community until a few years ago though (which i discovered via a wrestling website ).

for the most part, everyone knows their shit here. of course we're not all going to agree on things, but i think it's safe to say everyone here is pretty logical with their opinions. it's a smaller circle as opposed to the underground and sherdog, but i like that - individual posters stand out more.

i think i just realized i love you guys...

Yes this site is pretty nice.

Obviously every poster is different, everybody has his own opinions, I always agree with some people and I always disagree with others but that is good, because if everyone would have the same opinion it would be extremely boring.

It is much much better than Sherdog, sometimes I read and post in Sherdog but this forum is way better. In Sherdog every minute there are like 5 new threads and after 1 hour there are already like 100 replies in each thread, there are way too much people there (90% of them are complete retards though). I post there only when I am very bored and when there is nothing important to talk about here.
I dont post in the UG so I dont know how is that forum but I have heard that it is as retarded as Sherdog so to be honest I dont have any intentions to go there.

This is a very good forum, the only really bad thing is that stupid message of "The server is too busy" when there is some MMA event going on.

2010 Post of the Year. This cracked me up.

I love this site, it's the only place I post and it's the only place that's not full of a bunch of bullshit. Good people here, quality posts and discussions, and like someone else already said it's a smaller circle here, so it feels like you really know people. Makes for a comfortable setting which only ups the value of the boards.
