Sorry Mods I do not know where this belongs but i find it interesting.

But MMA is a fairly new quickly growing sport, Here in Canada hockey is like that national sport why is it that one of our largest sports networks Rogers Sportsnet gives GSP Canadian athlete of the year 3 years strait?

Rogers Sportsnet Canadian Athlete of the Year (2008)
Rogers Sportsnet Canadian Athlete of the Year (2009)
Rogers Sportsnet Canadian Athlete of the Year (2010)

I dont wanna get into previous years but I know 2010 GSP domintaed KOS and Hardy... cool acomplisment I guess but athlete of teh year worthy?

Sidney Crosby = Gold medal game winning goal and 51 goals/ 58 assists in the 2010 season Mark Messier Leadership Award Rocket Richard Trophy all in 2010.

Jonathon Toews= Youngest captain to win the stanley cup Best Forward in the tournament for the olympics con smythe trohphy winner

Joey Votto= He is the 2010 NL MVP, the recipient of the National League Hank Aaron Award for 2010 and the guy's Canadian I know we aint good for our baseball..Now does rogers just have there head up GSP/ Dana's ass? or is GSP getting this award 3 years strait justifiable?

it was up to voting... fans voted gsp athlete of the year 3 times in row. I personally voted for Sid the Kid even tho I like Toews way better and I'm a huge GSP nut hugger but I think Crosby deserved it more, he had hell of year. But I did vote for GSP the last two years
