| mmafighting.com P4P List Updates - Bones Moves Up
Mmafighting.com has released their updated P4P list after LHW strap changes hands. MMA Top 10 Pound-for-Pound: Jon Jones Surges -- MMA Fighting
Anderson Silva
GSP
Jon Bones Jones Quote: |
Is it too soon to put Jones up this high? I don't think so. Not after the way he destroyed a legend in Shogun. Not after the way he's dominated everyone he's faced, from Ryan Bader to Vladimir Matyushenko to Brandon Vera and even Matt Hamill in the fight Jones lost by disqualification. Jones isn't just winning, he's winning like Secretariat in the Belmont. No one at 205 pounds is close.
| Jose Aldo
Dominick Cruise
Frankie Edgar
Grey Maynard
Cain Velasquez
Joseph Benavidez
Jon Fitch

That is too soon. I could understand him being on the list in the top 10, but definitely not at #3. He hasn't even defended his belt next, Jose should be 3 over Jones.

Aldo should be above Jones for sure.
And I think Jones is not top 5 P4P yet

heavy.com also posted a p4p list the other day which had Jones at #5.... not that heavy.com's rankings are all that relevant.

I think a better question would be, why the hell is Joseph Benavidez on this list??

...so beating a guy who you have 2 inches in height and 10 inches in reach over, not to mention about 15lbs cageweight...makes you top 3 p4p? Thank you dana white, for irrevocably fucking up the definition of a term to suit promotional needs.
I love Bones. If anyone had to beat Shogun in the UFC's LHW division, I'd want it to be him. He's not top 5 p4p. I'll have to think about it for a long time before I even state he's definitively top 10 p4p.
noobjacked.

He seems to noobjack threads more than any other mod, or he just seems to announce it the most. I have no problem with him as a mod, but he seems to have an itchy noobjack finger lol.
