Never one to shy away from a fight, UFC welterweight crazy man Diego Sanchez has targeted the UFC in Rio card on August 27th for his next fight inside the octagon, calling for a fight to be made between him and former title contender, Thiago Alves.

The man now dubbed “The Dream” conversed with one of his fans via Twitter last night, saying a fight between the two would be “tight” before adding Brazil would be the perfect venue to host it.

Sanchez is coming off back-to-back wins inside the octagon against Paulo Thiago and Martin Kampmann, two fights that did nothing to showcase his technique but everything when it came to highlighting his heart and determination to win. Stay tuned to MMABay to find out if he gets his wish or not as it breaks.

I don't know what to say about this article since it came from the Bay. Until further notice, the validity is questionable. However, it would be a SICK fight and I would love to see it and i'm sure everyone else would, too. I think Diego should have stuck to "The Nightmare" because that is what he looked like after the Kampmann fight.

Btw, that picture is disturbing. It looks like Sanchez is trying to be like David Carradine.

I see thiago winning, he has some good tools especially standing, but we have seen him lackluster at times so you never know.
