Official MMA Rankings - MMA- NBC Sports

HEAVYWEIGHT
1. Cain Velasquez (9-0) - According to Velasquez's trainer Javier Mendez, the heavyweight champion's rehab has been "slow."
2. Junior dos Santos (12-1) - JDS vs. Brock Lesnar is set for June 11.
3. Fabricio Werdum (14-4-1) - Werdum vs. Overeem has been pushed back to June 18, meaning Werdum will not have fought for just about a year after the biggest win of his career.
4. Brock Lesnar (5-2) - See #2.
5. Alistair Overeem (34-11, 1 NC) - See #3.
6. Antonio Silva (16-2) - He will wait for the winner of Overeem-Werdum.
7. Fedor Emelianenko (31-3, 1 NC) - M-1 Global and Strikeforce say Emelianenko will be back in the summer.
8. Shane Carwin (12-1) - Will face UFC newcomer Jon Olav Einemo at UFC 131 in June.
9. Frank Mir (14-5) - Fights Roy Nelson in May.
10. Roy Nelson (15-5) - See #9.

LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT
1. Jon Jones - (13-1) Something tells me we will be seeing his name in this spot for a long time.
2. Mauricio "Shogun" Rua (19-5) - Jones made Rua look like just another fighter. He's not, but that's just how good Jones is right now.
3. Rashad Evans (15-1-1) - He's next in line for a title shot. No word on when the fight will take place yet.
4. Quinton Jackson (31-8) - Faces Matt Hamill at UFC 130 in May.
5. Lyoto Machida (16-2) - Will fight Randy Couture on April 30.
6. Forrest Griffin (18-6) - No word just yet on what's next for Grrin.
7. Dan Henderson (27-8) - Henderson appears to be back in good graces with Dana White.
8. Ryan Bader (12-1) - Will face Tito Ortiz at UFC 132.
9. Phil Davis (9-0) - I don't understand the criticism after his win over Nogueira.
10. Randy Couture (19-10) - See #5.

MIDDLEWEIGHT
1. Anderson Silva (28-4) - Will wait to see what happens when GSP fights Shields on April 30.
2. Chael Sonnen (25-11-1) - Publicly called out Michael Bisping. Still no word on his return.
3. Yushin Okami (26-5) - Unless Shields beats GSP, looks like he won't be getting a title shot any time soon.
4. Nate Marquardt (31-10-2) - Defeated Dan Miller at 128. Considering move to welterweight.
5. Demian Maia (14-2) - Will face Mark Munoz this summer.
6. Michael Bisping (21-3) - Wants Sonnen next.
7. Ronaldo Souza (14-2, 1 NC) - No idea who is next. Mayhem?
8. Vitor Belfort (19-9) - Dana White wants him to fight Wanderlei Silva next.
9. Alan Belcher (16-6) - He has been cleared to train following multiple eye surgeries this summer.
10. Jorge Santiago (23-8) - Faces Brian Stann at UFC 130.

WELTERWEIGHT
1. Georges St-Pierre (21-2) - Will face Jake Shields on April 30 in Toronto.
2. Jon Fitch (23-3-1, 1 NC) - Forced to pull out of his rematch against BJ Penn due to a shoulder injury.
3. Jake Shields (26-4-1) - See #1.
4. Nick Diaz (24-7, 1 ND) - Will face Paul Daley on April 9.
5. Thiago Alves (18-7) - Faces Rick Story at UFC 130.
6. Josh Koscheck (15-5) - If all goes well for his recovering orbital bone, he could return by the end of the year.
7. BJ Penn (16-7-2) - No word on who he will fight next.
8. Carlos Condit (26-5) - Publicly stated he would be willing to fight Penn.
9. Paul Daley (27-9-2) - See #4.
10. Diego Sanchez (23-4) - Coming off a controversial, yet entertaining win over Martin Kampmann at UFC on Versus 3.

LIGHTWEIGHT
1. Frankie Edgar (13-1-1) - Gets a third crack at Gray Maynard at UFC 130.
2. Gray Maynard (10-0-1) - See above.
3. BJ Penn (16-7-1) - I still think Penn is one of the best lightweights in the world.
4. Gilbert Melendez (18-2) - Will finally defend his title again on April 9 against Tatusya Kawajiri.
5. Shinya Aoki (26-6, 1 NC) - Will face Lyle Beerbohm on the April 9 Strikeforce card.
6. Eddie Alvarez (21-2) - Defends his Bellator title for the first time against Pat Curran on April 2.
7. Jim Miller (20-2) - Miller won his seventh in a row when he beat Kamal Shalorus at UFC 128.
8. Kenny Florian (13-5) - Dropping down to 145 to fight Diego Nunes in June.
9. Tatsuya Kawajiri (27-6-2) - See #4.
10. Anthony Pettis (13-1) - "Showtime" will have to wait a little longer to get his shot at the UFC lightweight title.

FEATHERWEIGHT
1. Jose Aldo (18-1) - Will defend his title against Mark Hominick on April 30.
2. Hatsu Hioki (23-4-2) - No word on when he will return to action.
3. Chad Mendes (10-0) - Dominated Michihiro Omigawa at UFC 126. I think he's next in line for a title shot.
4. Diego Nunes (16-1) - Welcomes Kenny Florian to the featherweight division in June.
5. Manny Gamburyan (11-5) - Pulled out of UFC 128 due to an injury.
6. Michihiro Omigawa (12-9-1) - Faces Darren Elkins at UFC 131.
7. Marlon Sandro (17-2) - Newest member of the Bellator featherweight division.
8. Mark Hominick (20-8) - His win over George Roop on Jan. 22 secured "The Machine" a title shot against Aldo in his home province of Ontario on April 30.
9. Joe Warren (6-1) - Faces Marcos Galvao on April 16.
10. Dustin Poirier (9-1) - Faces Rani Yahya at UFC 131.

BANTAMWEIGHT
1. Dominick Cruz (17-1) - Defends his UFC title for the first time on July 2 against Urijah Faber.
2. Brian Bowles (9-1) - Looked great in his UFC debut against Damacio Page.
3. Joseph Benavidez (14-2) - Solid win over Ian Loveland at UFC 128.
4. Miguel Torres (39-3) - Fights Brad Pickett at UFC 130 in May.
5. Urijah Faber (25-4) - See #1.
6. Scott Jorgensen (11-4) - Faces Ken Stone in June.
7. Brad Pickett (20-5) - See #4.
8. Demetrious Johnson (8-1) - Looked great against KID Yamamoto at UFC 126. Faces Renan Barao in June.
9. Eddie Wineland (17-7-1) - Dana White seemed impressive by his 128 performance despite the loss to Faber.
10. Masakatsu Ueda (12-1-2) - Defeated Ralph Acosta at Shooto in January.

I actually like his rankings... The fight I would like too see is Josh Koscheck vs Nick Diaz , I think KOS would beat him as would Thiago Alves...

I can't understand how Manny Gamburyan is above Hominick in the FW rankings. That's the biggest issue I see, yes I hug Hominick's nuts but still, Hominick is far better.
Manny's biggest win lately was that ko of Brown which was pretty impressive but certainly not enough to put him that far above Hominick.

Also Joe Warren in his latest fight did not look very good and should have come out of that fight with a L instead of W. He didn't win that fight except maybe the 3rd round.
