I like Chael, but I'd favor Silva in a straight boxing match. Though Sonnen did look good standing against Silva, I think it was more the threat of a takedown.

UFC middleweight prospect Chael Sonnen is nothing if not outspoken. The former number one middleweight contender has been stewing on his last fight, a loss to Anderson Silva, for almost a year, and appears to be at the breaking point.

Sonnen dominated the fight for four rounds before Silva ended the fight with a shocking triangle choke. A myriad of issues has kept the former Olympic alternate from competing since then, but with those issues now seemingly cleared up, he aims to get back to the top of the heap in a hurry. To do so, he has no qualms about competing at middleweight, light heavyweight or even heavyweight.

"Yeah, what's the difference," Sonnen told MMA Fight Corner presented by FiveKnuckles.com. "It's just a few pounds. The top guys that I'd like to throw my darts at, I would say Lyoto Machida, for the tooth (that he knocked out of Randy Couture's mouth) and the fact that he drinks piss and that disgusts me. I would have to say Anderson Silva because he wears pink t-shirts, crooked hats and earrings.

"I would say Cro Cop too. You know, I had a run in with Cro Cop in an elevator one time and I'm not ready to discuss it right now because it infuriates me every time I talk about it. So I would say those are the guys at the top of the list, but again, it's not real hard to break into that list and get caught up in my cross hairs."

Getting caught up in Sonnen's cross hairs is not a good place to be. He is a relentless and creative trash talker with a similarly relentless, frustrating, grind 'em out style of fighting to back up his incessant chatter.

Though Sonnen talks a big game, and has called out seemingly every fighter under the sun, the Oregon native claims that no one has ever accepted his challenge or called him out; including all of the Brazilian fighters he's called out in recent months.

"You ever read an interview where anybody has said they want to fight me," Sonnen asked. "You know how many things I say about these turkeys? And not one of them has ever accepted the challenge. Not one of these guys has ever called me out. You ever notice that? In my whole life, you know how many times I've been challenged? Zero."

Sonnen has apparently been seething since his loss to Anderson Silva and unleashed a scathing diatribe on the man many consider to be the greatest mixed martial artist on the planet.

"What makes Anderson Silva special? How could [anyone] even say that? Who has Anderson beat that is still with the UFC? He beat a bunch of guys that got fired. To win the world's championship he beat a math teacher from Ohio. Who can't kick a math teachers (expletive). Look, he beat up a drunk Chris Leben, a one-legged Patrick Cote, a math teacher, a slow and un-athletic light heavyweight... what did he ever do?

"He would've gotten beaten by Paulo Filho, a guy I destroyed, so he refused to fight him. He lost to Yushin Okami, so he's ducked Okami since. He would get killed by me so he ducked me for six years! What has Anderson Silva done?!"

To be fair, Silva has won his past 14 fights dating back to a disqualification loss to Yushin Okami in 2006. He has not lost a UFC fight in his career,...

He keeps saying who has he beat, after an injured silva subbed his ass. He also failed to mention that Anderson made his long time training partner and mentor dan henderson look like a amateur.

Lyoto would have ko'd him so bad. It is a tougher matchup for chael than anderson is. Lyoto is very very hard to get down. Im so pissed we wont get to see him laying on the ground wondering what happened.

Silva FINISHED Marquardt in the 1st round and Chael got his ass kicked by marquardt in the 3rd round of their fight, couldn't finish him, and collapsed in the dressing room. Then theres Terry Martin who beat the fuck out of Chael Sonnen, who everyone knows got KTFO by "drunk Leben" who Chael recently said he wouldn't fight! haha!

What else is funny is the fact that Machida accepted Sonnens challenge and said "no problem", but who did we hear nothing from after Machida accepted? None other than Mr. Sonnen, who opted instead to fight Brian Stann. Theres also that Demian Maia guy Silva beat who made Chael tap in under 2 minutes. Theres also Jeremy Horn who made Chael tap THREE TIMES, who silva beat...yawnnn..

About of why Brazilian fighters do not call him out, it is very simple: They don{t give a fuck about him. They know there are fighters way more important than the troll.

chael always talks about how he never loses the stand up in fights, but if i remember correctly babalu was beating the crap outta him on the feet, and he aint no anderson silva...

and to his "who has anderson beat that is still in the ufc..." he beat you you jack ass and even if chris leben was drunk, paulo filho was on something much worse and you still managed to do nothing. I dont know if it's possible but i think his smack talk is becoming more and more retarded.
