It makes sense in that they are both big name draws to the casual fans and would put on a good show. Neither are in the mix for a title shot, so give it to the fans for free.

Don't get me wrong, as a hardcore fan I love this fight. Years in the making, two legends in the twilight of their careers blah blah blah. I'd watch it any day of the week and twice on Sundays. But it doesn't have that POP I think the UFC is looking for in their big FOX debut main event.
