This doesnt seem like what I thought it would be. Making random match ups that would never happen and are ridiculous?

I thought we would combine events and then have a Draft with all the fighters. Whoever wins the most fights wins?

Great idea, but again I thought there was already something similar to that on this board?

Also there are various type of Pick'em-type points games available for every individual event - I even know some specialized rules myself. But that's another game for another thread.

This is just some old school, mash-up fantasy combat with an MMA theme. At BEST it's a creative, thought-provoking, debate-sparking online vehicle capable of sparking the imagination.

At WORST it's a small way to waste some more time on our favorite MMA messageboard, acting like the know-it-alls we are!

ALSO REMEMBER - THE OFFICIAL DRAFT PROCESS WILL BEGIN ON MONDAY SEPTEMBER 19th, 2011...

So if you haven't signed up yet there's still time. I'll post the more particular Drafting rules the closer we get to Monday.

In the meantime I UPDATED THE FIRST PAGE OF THE THREAD

For all future reference, please refer to the VERY FIRST post on this thread. I will be updating it with the list of players, MK boards, Draft orders and round-by-round selections. So we have one spot to reference for all game-related material. So check out the first post for constant updates!

Thats what I was thinking would be tight.

Like, everybody has a roster of active fighters, and you get like 1 point if your fighter wins, 2 points if they get a finish...but then again, that might not be very cool because people could just pick fighters fighting in Dream (mousasi) or outside of the ufc who have easier competition alot of the time and get as many points as say, someone who picked Velasquez (if he were to beat JDS).

I think the idea of picking boxers, kickboxers, and BJJ artists is cool but does anyone think anybody from one of those sports should be favored against a well rounded mma fighter?
