I finally saw this fight today and was shocked and rather pissed off at the ending. It is a fight between Matt Baker (trains with the Nogs now) and Marcus Vinicius in Battlefield Fight League based in BC I believe. It happened Dec 6, 2011.

If you go to about 2:30 and watch from there you will see the elbows that I am talking about. Matt Baker has Marcus Vinicius' back and is throwing elbows to the back and drops a 12-6 elbow into what appears to be the spine and one to the base of the head. I can't believe he wasn't warned for those. That fight should have been a NC. It's clear that the guy who got choked out was hugely affected by those illegal shots.

Am I totally wrong when I think those are highly illegal elbows?

Fuck that those were SUPER illegal. Looked to connect right at the base of the skull. That should be a DQ and that ref should be fired.

BFL does shows in Nanaimo BC where I live.

At one of their shows last year, buddy picked the other guy up (Matt Hughes Carlos Newton style) and went to slam him against the side of the cage. The cage door opened and both fighters fell onto the floor.. well one buddy got slammed onto the floor!

I tried to find youtube videos cuz I know they are out there but no luck as of yet. I think it was either the same card as with JT Money in Nanaimo or the one before it in Nanaimo.

That sounds like Nanaimo all right. I assume those fights took place somewhere in Harewood.

Ha ha ha what do you know about Harewood my friend? Close but the fights took place at Frank Crane arena at Beban Park. Needless to say the fights were kinda lame, VPD & RCMP gang unit were swarming the place and no booze was sold inside.... Fail.

Hahah they know what you BC'ers do when upset about something...final NHL game? lol, jokes, I was pulling for the Canuks too but that riot was unreal.
