He was there in the audience looking like a kid in a candy store.

He was probably there to take notes on the Rock's promo.

By writing notes on your wrist?

To take some sub defense lessons would be more useful for him

I think he was working on plan B... because we all know when Silva knocks his teeth out, the American Gangsta wont be getting any more MW title shots any time soon.

If Sonnen loses to Anderson, I think he should quit mma and go to WWE.

With that said, I hope Sonnen beats Anderson in Brazil just for the reaction and all the butt hurt fans.

I didnt see him, but i did hear he attended the show.

Ive read mixed reactions

i thought it was good, but i liked jericho/punk better

It wasn't horrible but it wasn't his best work either. Part of me thinks the guys at the top are telling Rock to reel it in a little because until recently he was murdering Cena in every promo and people where losing interest and stopped viewing Cena as credible. Now Cena has an amazing promo and the Rock has a so-so one and people are suddenly interested again. So this was all probably a way just to make Cena look stronger.

Rock's promo was amazing (even if he did have notes on his wrist). Rock is the God of Promos. Y2J and Cm are not on that level. He turns the audience into puppets.

Chael was shown during Rock's promo a couple times and randomly throughout the night. He wasn't mentioned but I'm guessing that's due to Vince not wanting to acknowledge that MMA exist lol.

You know, I kinda thought Rock intentionally wrote the notes on his wrist cuz I've never seen him do that before. The way people used to dissect him online, I'm sure it would have been caught before. His entire purpose for being there is to pass the torch to Cena and so far, he's just been killing him lol. Maybe he threw him a bone. Sad part is, Rock called exactly why people don't like Cena. Same thing every week. Shoved down people's throats. Rock is already scheduled for next year's mania so it might not even be over after this.

Not always true. A lot of promos are not scripted at all. I bet CM and Jericho wasn't scripted. Sure they may have had talking points but its not like these guys are writing speechs back stage.

Sometimes they for really large ones. Like when the Rock came back I am sure he wrote a whole speech and memorized it. But most nights it just guys getting the mic and told to tell a story.

The writing on the wrist was scripted and probably to show the Rock has gone Hollywood so people actually cheer on Cena. Personally I think they blew this with the WWE. The Rock should be facing off with Randy Orton and have Randy go back to the legend killing heel. They could have played it off as the the Greatest Legend v. The Legend Killer. They also would not be trying so hard to get Orton over because he plays one of the best heels in all of wrestling.
