Anyone else see Ben Henderson's failed TUF 9 audition tape?

I dont know why I cant embed this video. Usually all you have to do is go to the share button, click embed, and then just copy and paste the code onto here.

This just keep playing into my theory that TUF 9 was set up to make British fighters look good by having them fight mediocre to bad American fighters. There were no strong wrestlers on the American team even though several tried out.

Tyron Woodley and Ben Henderson tried out. Now don't you think both those guys would have walked through all the British fighters? Seriously Woodley v. Wilks would have been a joke, same with Henderson v. Pearson.

hind sight is always 20/20, and he is the champ now like he said he would be. but i dont know if i would have picked him based on that video.

the show is obviously about drama and characters, and he looks like a bit of a dork in the video. his fight clips are great, but the glasses/toothpick combo are pretty hilarious. on a show that was for pure fighting, yes. but tuf is 90% in the house and his personality doesnt come across well in those clips.

and he lists his opponents and training partners as "UFC Veterans" but then names names I have never heard of. Im sure stuff like that just makes the producers/UFC shake their heads while watching audition tape after audition tape.

That theory makes sense, because either Bendo and/or Woodley would've made them all look silly. Yeah, maybe Shelby or Silva had other plans for Benson, but I would've loved to have seen Henderson walk through people. Then again he would have potentially lost all those accomplishments that were acquired in the WEC.

Good point. How many of those auditions are filled with fighters claiming to be the next ultimate fighter and the next UFC champion? Too many to be counted.
