I'd prefer it if he was. Even if Roy knocks Cains head off... JDS vs Big Country 2 makes no sense, and does nothing for me. People are flipping over this already, won't be surprised if we hear of another big change in the card.

UFC is more serious than this, they will not give a No. 1 contender match to someone that is 0-3 or 1-4 or something like that. It is Strikeforce that gave title shots to people that came from a loss.

This smells like a certain Lightweight situation, where Fighter A would get number one contender if he won, but fighter B would not get the shot if he won, even tho they billed it as a number 1 contender fight. Sounds pretty familiar to me, even though I'm blanking on what fight this all happened in before.

I have zero interest in seeing Roy Nelson fight either JDS or Mir, two dudes who absolutely took him to school and in JDS's case, totally fucked him up.

Big Foot or Werdum are far superior #1 contenders, Bigfoot if they do indeed want to give someone coming off a L the shot.
