MMA fighter gets 47 years in prison for ripping out friend's heart during mushroom trip

I'm thinking there was a little more than just mushrooms in that tea.

I don't understand why this guy is being billed as a "mixed martial artist". He had one fight, so I'm pretty sure that his daily job was something else. I get how reporters want to spin a story to make it more sexy, but this is just idiotic.

I hate that attention grabbing headline bullshit.

It is sad that some people are very dumb and they think that MMA makes people crazy and violent.
They do not realize that sometimes crazy and violent people unfortunately train MMA.

But that does not mean that most of MMA fighters are killers and insane people.

Yea exactly, my friend was murdered by her boyfriend a few months ago in a domestic dispute and he had 2 amature mma fights in some shitty local BC circuit and the newspapers were all calling him a "well known mix martial arts fighter". Seriously? Made me so mad. Everyone is a fucking mma fighter now its funny. Ive even had guys at the bar saying stuff like " you dont wanna fuck with me im a mixed martial arts fighter". And i still whoop their ass lol.
