If true, Rafael Cordeirois the key.
Munoz will definitely help his wrestling.

The true wizard of leglocks is Minowaman xD | That's fair, can't really argue with that. But his ground game is good enough to prevent most wrestlers from laying on him, he can scramble from the bottom pretty well.
PS had to check your facts on your 1 sub.... damn, i thought it was 3

Rafael Cordeiro had said before that shogun has too many "yes men" around him. I didn't understand why he never went back to train with him after working with him for the second Forrest fight.
His hands have always been lacking. In the Goose fight he basically just threw that same overhand right over and over.

Shogun used to come into fights in better shape.
and he would use his OH right to help him transition into a clinch where he would start throwing some effective knees...but then he seemed to content to just try to put people away with primarily his right hand...guess he figured it was better to try and find a moment to end the fight with 1 or a series of blows instead of gradually breaking his opponent down, with a limited gas tank...
Against Gus he was doing ok early but then gassed pretty badly, which made it hard for him to get off as often as he should and made it hard on him when he got taken down. I truly believe he would beat Gus and Hendo if he came into those fights in great shape. He hardly threw any kicks or knees vs both of them.

Don't think we'll ever see Shogun in the title hunt again. Hope I'm wrong, but I think he's getting further from his peak.

This sounds a lot like, the "Re-Invented" BJ Penn and Chuck Liddell with "That Look in His Eyes."
Coaching is no substitute for inner drive/self-motivation.
Does he really need any of these big names to teach him how to do sit ups???
I'm not taking anything away from Shogun. Dude has fought wars and left it all in the cage, but time only moves in one direction.

Who will Shogun fight next? Hopefully it's an intriguing matchup, he can have great fights with most people, so I guess it doesn't matter.

Other examples are "Healthy" Shogun, "Vintage" Vitor, "OWGP" Crocop, "Pre illness" Brock, Chuck "with that look in his eyes",
