It's been over three years since Tank Abbott's last fight, but something must have gotten the best of him as he's returning for KOTC to challenge Ruben "Warpath" Villareal.

"A true warrior never puts down his sword and I love to do it," said Abbott on MMA Prime. "It's as simple as that. I never left."

Abbott has a total of 24 fights to his name, with several coming out of the early UFC days against top heavyweights. None of his fights have gone passed the opening round and Abbott has only won 10 of those encounters. He won his last fight, which made him 2-8 in his last outing. Since 2003, Abbott has only fought nine times.

Villareal lost his pair of fights last year. The year prior wasn't much better as Villareal went 1-4.

Abbott vs. Villareal headlines KOTC: Fighting Legends, which takes place April 13 out of the Gold Country Casino in Oroville, CA.

He's one of those guys that I worry about when he fights. He needs to win this and then retire.

OK, this is an instance in which MMAMath is completely applicable.

Warpath recently beat Don Frye, who beat Tank back in the day. He also lasted 3 rounds with Brett Rogers, which.....is more than Tank's done in a decade....

Warpath beat down Frye that ruined my day with that thought.

I always feel as if he is on the brink of death.
