i used to be the skinniest guy u ever seen. 5'7 125lbs. then i thickened out at about 19 gaining 20lbs, i was 145. when i was 21 i went on weight gainer and went up to 155. between then and now ive put on an extra 12lbs and i weigh in at 167lbs. im starting to get fat.
i thought id be skinny forever but i guess u really do get fatter when u get older.
i tryed joining a hockey league to get back in shape but first game i played i went back to the dressing room and puked 6-10 times. i was so dizzy and weak i could barely walk.
im in horrible shape.
just thought id share.
The best way to lose weight is not by exercising but by eating less calories. It is much, much harder to lose weight by exercise alone compared to altering your diet without exercise. Doing both is obviously the best way to go about things though.
This should be in Nutrition section, so ppl there would help you...Jokerthief is right, just eat nutricious meal/shake 5x a day between 3 or 4 hours and do a lot of exercise.
Man, when I was a teenager, I weighed 175lbs at 6'-2", and had a 32" waist. Years pass by, married now. Seems like I gain 2" on my waist every 5 years, now a fucking size 40!!! I now weigh about 210, which is not crazy for someone 6'-2", but seeing the number "4" as the first digit in my waist size is disturbing. I gotta get into some regular exercise - just gotta make the time.
when i was in high school i weighed about 160 all thru it.then i hit my 20's and started drinking more i went in the 200 range now at 210 lol. but im 6'1 so it doesnt show to bad
I'm about like Mark Hunt, 275 at 6 ft tall. I used to be very athletic, now I'm just fat and make alot of money. I work too much to squeeze in time to work out to be honest! It sucks! I stay in decent shape though because I have kids and I'm always doing shit with them, they have helped me get in shape some.
I haven't weighed myself in about six years and it feels great ;) Worrying about my weight used to drag me down big time when I was younger but then I realised that I really didn't care how much I weighed. I train shooto and BJJ six days a week now and I'm looking forward to figuring out my weightclass when I compete :afro:
Seriously though: eat healthy, work out and don't worry about it (I can't stress that enough) and you'll be fine.
me too, iv gained about 30 pounds since like may. it isnt hard at all to lose weight if you are very active. i usually try and plan to improve myself over the summer since i have so much time, but i usually just become very lazy, and do all my shit during the year.
I have got all of you beat.
When I was 18, I was lifting and running everyday. 5'9" and weighed 220 pounds. I ran 2.5 miles in 20 minutes. I had a 36 inch waist.
Fast forward 14 years through college, desk job (I was a coder for an oil company), marriage, knee problems (unrelated to weight) and kids and I was sitting at 276. I had a 44 inch waist. Needless to say, I did not have a height growth spurt
My wife and I said "fuck this!" and got our asses in gear. She has gone down 3 dress sizes. I couldn't be more proud of her. She works out after work and if she has a late meeting, she wakes up at 4:30 to get it done.
I have lost 6 inches off my waist and 36 pounds. I just recently ran 1.5 miles for the first time since high school.
I will never, EVER be that big again.
i think the average weight for a guy my size is probably about 155. so im about 12lbs over-weight. nothing serious.
