What exactly is Smart Balance? Never heard of it. Is it like butter in the sense that you can spread it on a bun or make mac and cheese with it?
Pasta (other than mac and cheese) can be good for you depending on what you need the energy for.

Pasta (other than mac and cheese) can be good for you depending on what you need the energy for. | Unless you're a long distance athlete pasta has no other purpose for athletes or individuals. Bottomline: Pasta is very bad for most diets.
Anyway if you want to know about Smart Balance go HERE. Hope that helps. |

Whey protein as well as eggs(try hard boiled) won't hinder your conditioning output.
If your nutrition & training is where it should be you won't need pasta to sustain your energy.

Ding ding ding. It's not where it should be. Don't know if it ever will be, or at least the near future. Never was the best conditioned athlete as I never saw the need to train as I was always in "good enough" shape. Once I saw the benefits of the gym I started going but money is an obsticle. Also, my newest problem, tendonitis in both shoulders is making it rather difficult to hit the gym. I was working out hard for 3 months, saw great results, then had an operation on my foot that put me out of training for 3 weeks, then bang, got shoulder problems. Haven't been able to weight train since mid october.
Also, superstition is key for many athletes myself included, hence pasta with a bit of chicken before games |

In fact most of the things I do I do at home with little to no equipment. Also if your shoulders are shot right now you can still train your core as well as legs if your foot is alright. Cardio can be accomplished if you can with your foot or find a pool and there you go.
There are always options & solutions. You simply to find them. Be creative and use your mind.
By the way if you want to take care of the inflammation caused by your tendinitis in your shoulders simply ice it(never heat to inflammation) 3x per day about 15 minutes a time. After a few weeks(4-6 or so) it should go away depending on the severity. Often times this sort of injury is caused by overuse and overworked muscles in the relative areas. Rest, ice and more rest is what is needed. Don't try to do what you can in those areas since it will only prolong your recovery and possibly create further(or even new) injuries.
Hope that helps. |

My cardio isn't much of a problem. Since my foot got well enough to run on I've been doing that and I do core work as well. I'm just physically not very strong. Like never have I been able to do 20 push ups with ease. Even when I was in my best shape. But I can run forever.
