No. It's a misnomer. In bio and regular chemistry this happens consistently. For example, testosterone is a steroid hormone that is made up out of cholesterol rings but that has little to do with either systemic LDL and HDL (good and bad cholesterol) and also dietary cholesterol.
as far as "organic" anything containing carbon is organic since it is the building block of life on our planet but in farming terminology it refers to organic growing techniques. Also, round up is a non-organic compound and is not naturally occurring either/does not come from the Earth.
