I remember reading an SI story when this shit first broke by Don Banks and they interviewed a member of the Falcons team and Banks asked him why he thought Vick would get mixed up in this and Vick's teammate replied that Vick was one of the dumbest people he had ever met, borderline retarded really. He just happens to be good at Football.
