Smith is the same guy who claimed that he was cleaning his life up which is why he stopped the TD celebration dances. I'm a fan of his but there's never an excuse to punch your teammate.

This story was both funny and sad for me. When a sophmore linebacker who hasn's played more than a year in the league has to separate 2 veterans, let alone a team leader, it is both sad and comical. What were the rest of the Panthers doing? getting water? why didn't anyone else step in. every fight i've seen in practice or a team scrimmage on theNFL network there are always a bunch of guys that are grabbing and separating. seems like they let the 2 just go at it but I could be completely wrong. hopefully there is some vid of it on Youtube or something. well they did say that fox was trying to break it up but that would be like my grandfather trying to break up a fight with 2 pitbulls.

It did say they trash talk each other since they signed Lucas in 2005, maybe the players let them go out it because they were tired of it
