Martin Brodeur The countdown has begun, Marty is now only 9 wins away from breaking Pat Roy's all-time win record, and only 6 shut outs away from breaking Terry sawchuck's all-time shut out record. Within the next month, we can officially say what we've known for a long time now.....Marty Brodeur is the greatest goalie to ever play the game!! |
I don't think he is better than Roy even if he breaks the win record. I will say that he will beat both those records in his time and retire as the 2nd best goalie to ever play the game you a devils fan? |
Brodeur is easily one of the best goalies, but there are just so many talented guyz out there. you really can't go wrong with any of them, stats aside. Glenn Hall Terry Sawchuk Patrick Roy Jacques Plante Dominique Hasek Grant Fuhr Mike Vernon Curtis Joseph Ed Belfour Chris Osgood |

I just think that with Brodeur having better numbers in virtually every category, wins, s/o's, save %, all with fewer games played...an Olympic gold medal, a Canada Cup ( I refuse to call it the World Cup...it'll always be the Canada Cup to me) championship..I just think it adds up to Marty being the best ever, with Roy a close second. I don't think Osgood or Vernon can realistically be considered as an all-time great, both very good goalies in their own right, but not all-time best IMO. HOMER! J/K but he is damn good! |
roy and brodeur will go down as the best goalies ever to play but brodeur deserves his props when he beats the records as #1 |
Brodeur continues to amaze me.Especially after being out here in the land of 'Crazy Patrick Roy',it's refreshing to see a guy who keeps breaking records and playing well, all while remaining seemingly normal and down-to-earth.Hurts to read everyone one calling him old when I'm older than him.... |
