I have to agree with the person that suggested Cael Sanderson. Not only was he undefeated in collegiate wrestling he went up a weight class his senior season just to make it more interesting to himself instead of resting on his laurels. 4 time NCAA Champion and Olympic Gold Medalist, plus he's one of the best coaches in college wrestling at Iowa State and now at Penn State.

The great one dominated hockey, no one can compare to that domination. Another I would nominate is Thierry Henry, he ruled the premier league as Arsenal's head striker.

Gretz was dominant in numbers, but look at the Oilers team when they won all those cups. Bobby Orr woulda been possibly the greatest if he could have stayed healthy.

Out of the mainstream sports I'm going with Jordan. He was on another level. They had a set of rules to guard the man. Phelps and Lance Armstrong were pretty dominant but I just don't place the emphasis of their sports as I do NBA, NFL, MLB, and NHL. Whatever, just my bullshit opinion.

Yeah, I know, it's an old thread.
Since I don't know anything about hockey or soccer, I'd have to say Michael Jordan so far as organized sports go.
In the realm of skateboarding though, people have said Tony Hawk, and yes, hes legendary. But he's not my pick.
"The Mutt," to my knowledge, placed second in one competition to Per Welinder and won everyting else he entered. He's also single-handedly responsible for street skating as we know it today, considering he invented the flatground ollie and almost every trick that has a name ending with "flip." Did I mention he's 44 now and there's plenty of shit he does to this day that NOBODY can touch?

Michael Jordan, Michael Phelps, Tiger Woods are the top three for me from that list i would probably say Cael Sanderson though because he never lost a match his entire career.

Up to this point, he has done incredibly well, but IMO, not enough more dominant than Niklaus was. Only once Tiger retires will we know the outcome.
