| NHL Trade deadline comes and goes....
Really no huge shockers today, no real BIG names moving considering the rumours that were floating around.
Pittsburgh got some much needed skilled grit with Bill Guerin. Toronto makes a couple strange moves, trading for Olaf Kolzig and claiming Martin Gerber off waivers.....Toskla may be lost now for the season, but adding a couple high priced goalies whos best days are surely long gone, that seems strange to me.
Edmonton, to me, made out pretty good, getting Kotalik from Buffalo for a
2nd rounder, and getting O'Sullivan for a very unproductive Erik Cole.
The Rangers also came away doing a decent job, adding Derek Morris, and Nik Antropov....a collosal under acheiver with the Leafs, but playing with some talent in the Big Apple, might just wake his career up!
Thoughts????????????

EXTREMELY LAME DEADLINE. I think the salary cap scared alot of teams and prevented the "big move". As far as the hometown squad goes, I'm very pleased with our deadline. Like you said, Guerin is much needed grit and a big body on the PP. Also you can't forget Chris Kunitz who was brought in for Ryan Whitney last week and he has 5 points in 3 games. I really beleive Pittsburgh is the team that none of the top seeds will want to see first round of the playoffs.

You didn't mention Calgary lol? They were the only ones who tried to make this deadline interesting
Anaheim trades way to much for my liking

Yeah, shit I did forget to mention Calgary....Jokinnin (sp) and leopold....good moves. If Kipper can manage to stay at the top of his game, they will be a force in the playoffs.

Now that a couple of weeks have passed it looks like the Bruins acquisition of Mark Recchi worked out pretty good.
