Also over the course of the playoffs Marty had 7 shutouts while Gigure had only 5. In the Cup Finals, out of the Devils 4 wins, Marty had 3 shutouts
It could have went either way, but to say that Gigure, who was on the team that did not win the Stanley Cup, clearly deserved it over Marty is false.
It was ridiculously close, and I think if it is as close as that, it should go to the cup winner | The difference is a significant regardless of the sample size. Giguere was also much more important to his team. He carried a a cinderella team on his back. Brodeur played great behind a top contender.

Showing your lack of knowledge when you claim Brodeur is only top 3...you have just lost all credability.

He is the most accomplished goalie of all time. A lot of that has to do with having a contender in front of him his entire career. Both Roy and the Hasek were better goalies.

Both Roy and the Hasek were better goalies. | By that statement, you have just told me, you have never played hockey, don't really understand the game and are a casual fan.
Patrick Roy played half his career with one of the best teams ever assembled in the past 50 years, easily had his best numbers of career playing behind one of the most stacked teams.
Of his 10 best G.A.A seasons 8 of them were in Colorado...almost half his wins were with the mighty Avalanche, and Roy quit on his team in Montreal and his Country.
Unlike Colorado who were stacked from top to bottom, New Jersey was a contender because Brodeur ALLOWED them to be.
Hasek was a habitual quitter as well, ask his teamates in Buffalo and Ottawa.
Ask any current or former NHL'er ( And I have had the opportunity to ask dozens this question) who they would want in a 1 game sudden death situation, and most said Brodeur, Roy was second and no one said Hasek in a positive manner.
I am not saying Roy and Hasek were bad goalies, obviously both were very good, I am just saying Brodeur is THE best goalie to have ever played the game.

For someone to say Hasek was a better goalie than Brodeur is beyond absurd and borderline moronic.
Hockey is not like Baseball. Stats do not show the story. If you are a true fan of the game you look beyond simple meaningless stats and you look at what they have done. You are able to see their greatness rather than meander off a few odd stats of this person being better than this person because of digits. Get real man.
Brodeur > Roy >> Hasek >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Luongo.
Brodeur is a crazy, fierce motherfucker.
Lidstrom is a God in my eyes. I wish to study everything he has done so that I am not such a failure at defense. But, I don't have to worry about playing hockey for a while with my fucked up knee.
