They have at least been exciting games to watch...sucks when the team you're cheering for is on the wrong side of bad officiating...every team goes through it eventually.

Colts look just about done.....down 3-0 to the Spitfires.

Another double header of my teams tonight. Will be switching back and forth often. Wings need to pick it up big time......a win tonight is crucial.

Down 3-0 now for Detroit. They have been close, but I have to hand it to the Sharks. They are pushing with everything they've got. I would not be at all surprised if they catch Detroit again to close the series. I hope not, as I want to see a bit more hockey played by the Wings.

Yet another exciting game between the 'Wings and Sharks.
I was a little perplexed at the penalty shot call though...I thought the player had to CLOSE his hand on the puck in the crease, to me, from every angle I saw it looked as if the Sharks player just pushed it back into Nabakov's pads.
Maybe I missed it...but thats how it looked to me.

Penalty shot calls are always tricky. Personally I don't think it was the right call either. I think the Zetterberg goal replay should have been called inconclusive and stood though.

The exact penalty shot rule infraction here I think would be:

Quote:
(v) Picking up the puck with the hand in the goal crease

-OR-

(iv) Falling on the puck in the goal crease
I didn't see him pick up the puck so I can only assume a hand on the puck equals falling on it?

Oh man, it was ugly last night, watching both of my teams lose.

I don't know what to think about the Wings.........their backs are against the wall now......coming back from a 3-0 game deficit is a tall order. WTF happened? Leading 3-1, and then they lose?!?!? Very, very disappointing.

I wouldn't be surprised if they start Osgood next game, just to change things up. I haven't been overly impressed with Howard so far in this series.

I honestly think players should be allowed to redirect pucks into the net with their skates. I mean they already allow goals off the skate as long as there isn't a kicking motion.

I've been impressed with Howard. I wouldn't go with Osgood as he has not shown anything this season. I don't blame the Wings' starting goalie for the losses. In fact, I'd say Datsyuk, Helm, and Howard have been their top 3 players. That last goal of game 3 was near impossible to stop. The one before it was almost a fluke.

I think the reason for the penalty shot was to make up for the call against Hank earlier. Two wrongs don't really make a right, but the goal should have stood and the Sharks player didn't close his glove. It equaled out, though Zetterberg failed to capitalize. When the Wings don't score 4 goals in a given playoff game, their chances of winning go way down. Statistically, anyway.

They got their 4 goals and then some. 7-1 win for the Wings.

Hopefully they can get the next win as well. I read that after this postseason that their lease expires with Joe Louis Arena. Might they make the move to the Palace of Auburn Hills? Only time will tell.
