Lebron may have taken a hit as far as this poll goes especially after his game 5 performance (or lack thereof). Two straight yrs now he has been the best player in the league on the best team (by record) yet couldn't get it done when it mattered most. And I don't buy the 'he doesn't have a great supporting cast' argument... 127 wins in 2 yrs speaks for itself.
Now the question becomes where does he play next year? Does he go for championships or fame? It's going to be the crucial decision of his career... will he go down as one of the all-time great individual talents or will he go down as a legend in the tradition of MJ, Magic, Bird, Kobe, et al.
Below is a good article by Bill Simmons... I agree with him, Chicago would be a good place for Lebron to go. Bill Simmons: LeBron James and the choice -- winning, loyalty or immortality? - ESPN
