Who's your 2010 NFL NUMBER ONE Draft Pick??? Sounds to me like if a QB is gonna get chosen first overall, it's Sam Bradford or MAYBE Jimmy Clausen. There seems to be alot of thinking that over the years, the Rams have passed over alot of solid QB drafts and they're gonna need Ndamukong Suh, Gerald McCoy, and OTs Trent Williams and Russell Okung are all for sure going high and it looks like Mike Shannahan loves Jimmy Clausen if he's still around at 4. I also hear that Buffalo's taking him if he drops down to 9. Cleveland have an amazing number of draft picks, Dever's not too shabby either. I'm a pretty big Holmgren fan and see him really building up the Browns with all of the prospects he's got at his fingertips. Seattle's got some pretty big picks too I'm a big Mel Kiper fan and recommend people check out his analysis for he's a pretty articulate and clever analyzer. I personally think that Bradford'll go to St. Louis #1, merely because they've passed and waited so very long to FINALLY draft a QB and I think they've gotta take a big pick rather than taking a solid, surething player who won't be a particular gamebreaker. If not he, word going around is Clausen, but hey, maybe they'll play it safe and take a more surethang. PS, don't expect Tebow to be going any time early. |
also, I realize YOUR is the proper spelling, and I tried to edit it, but it still said YOU ARE/YOU'RE. Oops. |

I have really only been following the draft from the Lions perspective at pick #2. All signs point to the Rams taking Bradford if his medical checks out. I cannot see them paying a DT #1 money. There is also no guarantee they even have a shot at a decent QB next year as the position is gobbled up early and often. I see the #2 pick as a huge wildcard for about 4-5 teams(Cleveland, Seattle, Buffalo, Washington, and maybe even Tampa Bay). Assuming Bradford goes #1 that leaves only 1 remaining "top QB prospect". We may see a bidding war for the #2 pick and the Lions would be happy to trade down. If the Rams decide to take Suh then its a bidding war for Bradford at #2 because TB won't be trading down(wants Suh or McCoy badly) and teams will not let him fall to Washington at #4. The top few picks will probably shake out like this: 1) Rams- Bradford 2) Lions trade w/ Wash(or Sea or Clev) - Clausen 3) TB-Suh 4) Lions - Okung 5) KC- Berry If for some reason Detroit doesn't trade out they take Suh, TB takes McCoy and Wash gets Clausen. |
Well said. For the record, I'll take Mel over some other analysis jabroni like Ron Jawarski anyday lol. I'm a Raider's fan, so as always(last year in specific), I fear we'll pick another Combine Warrior whose put up some good numbers. I really like both Bruce Campbell as a pick. |
I would take Campbell but not at that high in the draft. I mean if Oakland doesn't take him at 8 I think he falls another 5-10 picks. Al Davis loves his combine warriors and he killed it with his workout. |
Personally I think that Sam Bradford will be the number one pick. Suh is a great prospect, favor him over McCoy, but I think the Rams will go offense first. I'm a Houston Texans fan, just for the record, a rarity, I know. Also on the Mel Kiper front...I really prefer Mike Mayock, not to say that Kiper is bad, but I usually find myself agreeing with Mayock more. |
Bradford. Having lived in St. Louis for a while, fans there really need some optimism and that is generated by a new QB, not a new DT (even as good as Suh is). That team is so bad and has so many holes and you gotta start the rebuilding around a young, talented QB. If the Rams take Suh/McCoy, they will have taken a D-lineman with 3 of last 4 first round picks (C. Long, Carriker), which means they will have A LOT of money tied up in a young defensive line that still doesn't scare anyone and they STILL would have a gaping hole at QB. |
I can't stand Mel Kiper. He is the Dick Vitale of the NFL. I respect Chris Mortenson and Todd McShay. If based on needs then the Rams will draft Bradford but if best available then Suh is the pick. |
Very happy with the Lions draft this year. We might have something that resembles a team next year. How did everyones team do? |
Raiders= par for the fucking course. Goodluck with the Lions, because Bradford's a stud. |
