Especially in hockey. There is so much parity and all it takes to steal a series is a hot goal tender. Anyone that watched Halak own the penguins can attest to that.

Just like last year right? Or the year before? Or oh yea the year before that?

The Penguins are always the sexy pick because they have Crosby and Malkin and for the most people those two of the only hockey players most people know outside of Ovie. So every year they are the favorite to win the Cup and every year they get bounced out by a team seeded lower then them.

The reason is Marc-Andre Fleury and his playoff save % of .891. As long as Fleury is in goal, ANY team has a shot to knock them off. He is easily one of the worse goalies in the playoffs which hurts the Penguins. In the playoffs the goalie is the most important position bar none. You can have all the fire power you want but if your goalie is giving up 3-4 goals a game you aren't going to win the cup.

The Ottawa/Montreal series has been full of rough stuff. Fun to watch.

I am embarrassed to be a Montrealer after last night's game. Wow. Just wow.
