Thread: MMA Rumor: UFC's Jim Miller to Strikeforce to Fight LW Champion Gilbert Melendez

Good fight whoever wins. Miller has a name and a good game not #1 though. This will either boost Melendez up as a true champ or set up Miller for his title shot. Not sure what they'ed do with Miller if he won as would he go back to the UFC. That would take a lot away from SF if the UFC wants to keep it going. Thats the question I'm not sure of.

LW division is the best right now. So many top guys already under Zuffa, now they just need Alvarez in the mix!

that would be great, he is a legit top lw and his only losses are against the guys fighting for the title, and its not like he didnt deserve a rematch against one of them. who would melendez fight? miller would be a good choice. It would also give gilbert a chance to beat one of the best ufc lw's and prove his value.

I don't see how this fight could be anything other than FOTN material

I'd be rooting for Miller, and I'd take him by decision, but it wouldn't surprise me to see Gilbert win a decision...if this fight even happens

I am not sure about this rumor, Dana was just talking the other day about how SF fighters have to fight on Show Time until their contract is up. Maybe Miller will fight under SF or a co promotion of Show Time?

What about Guida and Pettis? Where does that leave them in the mix. The LW division is packed with top contenders right now.
And if you want beef, then bring the ruckus

I'll believe it when it happens. I'd rather see Melendez finish off the rest of the Strikeforce lightweights.. Noons.
