Default Dan Severn challenges Royce Gracie to retirement match in Brazil

Dan Severn challenges Royce Gracie to retirement match in Brazil - MMAmania.com
In light of Royce publically announcing his intent to take part in a UFC Event in Brazil, Dan Severn is, officially, throwing out the challenge to Royce Gracie.

Wanting to take it to the cage, one last time, in an all-out ground war; Two legends of the Octagon can thrill and amaze the UFC audience of yesterday and today, one last time.

Also, in a rare behind-the-scenes-look, Dan Severn is opening up his comeback trail training to his fans by allowing a production crew to chronicle the challenges, emotion and even the levity of a battle-tested Hall of Fame Champ, dusting off his boots, for one last run.
And if you want beef, then bring the ruckus

See now at least this makes some sense, as opposed to the fight with Artie boy.

Massive weight difference, surely wouldn't be sanctioned in the States, not sure what sanctioning guidelines are with Brazilian sports commissions though.

I much rather see this then Gracie vs. A young guy. In most cases the young fighter rolls through Gracie but at least here we see two older veterans against each other just for old times sake

Dan is like 260lbs now, Royce would fight at 170, can't see this happening unless Dan can cut to under 200lbs.

More of a publicity stunt for Dan than anything given the significant difference in weight will likely take him out of any serious UFC consideration.

The UFC should be trying to coach Frank Shamrock back into the ring to take the fight with Royce.
    Fav Fighters:
    - "The Phenom" Vitor Belfort
    - Renato "Babalu" Sobral
    - Georges "Rush" St. Pierre
    - Andrei "The Pitbull" Arlovski
