He poses more of a threat to Maynard or Edgar then Pettis or Guida does anyways. It was nice to see Pettis use that awesome kick against Bendo. But lets get real, how often do you think he'll be able to pull off stuff like that.

Well Pettis did have another kick off the cage in the Guida fight...not as lethal but still something out of the ordinary...these Roufus fighters sure are creative...remember Belcher's superman punch off the cage?

And yes, Miller would put up a better fight against Edgar or Maynard at this point than anyone else. Guida offers nothing more than high paced, cardio pushing action while Miller offers an all around skill set to give anyone fits.

Good to hear that Miller is the rightful title contender, he has definitely earned it. I love his mentality and the fact that he's not going to sit around and wait for Maynard/Edgar to get better. He's taking a dangerous fight against Bendo and you got to give the guy credit for putting it all on the line.

Still, I would love to see Miller whoop the shit outta Guida in the meantime.

I think thats smart of Dana Miller is a beast but man Lightweights really need to step it up, no one has really stepped out and showed that they can run that division. I think Pettis has the skill to do it, just needs to work on his TD defense a lot and his wrestling because quite frankly the top fighters in the LW division are better at wrestling then anything else.

I was glad that Pettis lost because I did not think he deserved the title shot at all. He should work his way up; beating WEC LWs should not lead to a UFC LW title shot. Miller has busted his ass and won 7 in a row. That's a true contendor right there. Once he goes through Bendo, it'll be 8 in a row, and I think he'll make it hell of a fight for either Edgar or Maynard.

I dont understand why they wouldnt sign Guida/Miller for an absolute for sure#1 contender. Time should allow it all to play out.

Miller had a fight a few PPVs ago and is probably already training. Give Guida a couple weeks off and make the fight for UFC 137 in October(plenty of time), or whenever 135,136 happen.

Maynard/Edgar isnt even rumoured for any upcoming cards, unless they put it on the unknown 135 or 136 cards. Even then, Guida/Miller in September is plenty of time for both of them, imo.

Have UFC136 with Maynard/Edgar3 and Miller/Guida as co-main event, and hype it the whole way as "the winner of this fight will get the winner of the next fight" blahblah blah.

Have both winners get in the ring after the PPV to get the hype going right away. Makes sense to me.
