I am curious, though - what exactly did Royce Gracie do for the sport? if anything - Rorion Gracie, Art Davie, and John Milius should be recieving praise for what they had done for the sport, not Royce Gracie. UFC was the creation of Rorion, Art, and John, not Royce Gracie. And for the record, Royce wasn't even the first choice to represent BJJ in the first few UFC events, Rickson was. Glad they went with Royce, though.
Rickson was the family champion but Royce was picked because he is small and the fact that he was small and tapping out all these big ass dudes is what sets Royce apart. Royce is still one of the biggest names in the sport among casual fans.

Easy solution. $200K to show, $800K to win, and give him a decent opponent. I don't see him ever beating a top 10 ww/mw but I wouldn't mind him being part of the event, provided he doesn't piss hot this time.

Strange that he thinks he can ask for that much considering the UFC doesn't even want him on the card or want him fighting in the UFC period????

Under no circumstance will he be at 132, he may still fight at 134 though.....

im all for a throwback fight with the first gracie to grace the ufc returning to the ufc one more time to fight in his home country.............as long as its not a main or co main and preferably just on the preflims. maybe facebook it

but 7 figures????? come on. that sounds more like a man who doesnt wanna lose in his home country so he is making it impossible to sign him for a fight. or a guy who knows he will not get offered a fight so he is making outlandish claims so it doesnt look like the ufc just doesnt want him
