    Default "do you understand english?"

Remember Mo getting mad and throwing out the race card for someone asking him if he could speak english? LOL.

Guess what just happened to me. My boss sent me an email stating "Hey, didnít I say Monday, am I not speaking a language you can understand???"

    That's copied and pasted lol.

Mo should have replied as I did: "I heard perfectly, the amount of which I cared was insufficient."

I do really. More than that, he can take what he dishes.

I've been really loyal to this place in that I am currently making less than I did when I started. Took a paycut 2 years ago under the promise that they would take care of me whenever business picked back up... Still no raise, yet I have taken on many many more responsibilities.

Although i do need the money and I probably should give up on this place, a new job is kinda frightening to me, you never know how your boss will be, co-workers, the job itself, etc. Other than my pay, I have no complaints, I am treated with respect.

i wish i could say the same. i have worked the shittiest jobs in this plant. i ran the recieving dock by myself for four years and then i moved to the cleanline which i now run with no help. and i get paid peanuts. they recently hired this smartmouth little kid that is ten years younger than me with no education to speak of. he has been here for about 7 months and makes five more dollars an hour than me and has been given all the oppurtunity in the world to learn and advance inside the company. my only mistake has been taking the jobs no one else wants to do and being good at them. they wont allow me to move up and make more money because then they would have to find someone else willing to work where i do and work as hard as i do. im just stuck.

I would start job shopping... Definitely dont leave without having something lined up in advance. I would go to management and demand a raise (or at least make more money than the punk kid) if they dont give you one, then you walk.

    * all of this of course depends on you having another job lined up. If you don't, then dont say shit and continue looking.

Or get some education that will translate to another company. At this point you rely on a company for your well-being and employment. What happens if the company you are working for goes under? Are your skills universal? Are they enough that you can demand anything above a sub-par wage elsewhere? I've worked many shitty wage slave jobs and have a plan set in place so that I may employ myself.

You are the hero of your own story, if you wish to commit to an upheaval of your life you can. You will get back the energy you put into a well thought-out plan for your life. Education is the solution if you feel like you no longer want to be an unappreciated wage slave.

Money should not be the goal of your existence rather than your own personal happiness.

Quite hilarious. It is always good to have an employer which can treat you as a human being rather than a tool. Having a boss you can relate to makes for a happy work environment.
